Join us for First Riders' Night
If your child is one of the many students who will be riding a yellow school bus for the first time in the fall, your family is invited to join us for First Riders’ Night.  Your child will learn about bus safety and rules for riding on the bus, and you can then go on a bus ride with your child.  First Riders' Night takes place on Monday, August 25th at Sir Alexander Mackenzie School (61 Sir Winston Churchill Avenue), with sessions running from 4:30-6 p.m.  There is no admission charge but parents are asked to pre-register their children at 460-3712 or simmonsm@spschools.orgWhen registering, please specify which session (4:30, 4:45, 5, 5:15 or 5:30) you will be attending.  Please note: there will be no parking available at the school that afternoon.  Please park in the Fowler Track parking lot, the Outreach High School parking lot, or the St. Albert Protestant Schools District Office parking lot across the street.

What's in your attic? You might have an important piece of our district's history!

In preparation for the 50th Anniversary of St. Albert Protestant Schools in 2008, the district is compiling a historical collection to celebrate our unique and exciting history. We are currently gathering materials for this collection. If you have old yearbooks, photos, newsletters, school uniforms, etc. that are just taking up space in your storage room, please consider donating these items to the district museum. We are also interested in hearing about your memories of your time with District 6. If you have items or stories you would like to share with us, please fill out our Friends of District 6 form and our donation form, or contact one of our Museum Steering Committee members:

Barry Wowk, Kathy Yewchuk, Adele McBeth or Paula Power at our district office at 460-3712
Chris Akins at Robert Rundle Elementary School at 459-4475
Karen Tubman at Paul Kane High School at 459-4405
