G-140: Smoking on Division Property

The board recognizes its duty to ensure the creation and maintenance of a healthy and safe working and learning environment for all employees and students.
The Board of Trustees believes that it is in the best interest of all its employees, students and the public that tobacco, tobacco like products, vaping, or cannabis not be permitted on division property or at any school related function except as delineated by G-140-BR.
Traditional tobacco is an important part of our First Nations and Métis cultures. The board recognizes that the ceremonial use of tobacco as part of cultural practice is appropriate in the division.
