Suzanne Sparling

Suzanne is a dedicated educator with 36 years of experience and has a true passion for supporting students and families. As a mother, grandmother, and active volunteer, she knows that community and family play a huge role in a child’s success.  Suzanne’s teaching philosophy is simple: every student deserves to thrive, and parents must have a voice in their child’s education.

Before stepping into the classroom, Suzanne explored a few different career paths, including real estate and working as a medical receptionist and dental assistant. But her love for children and teaching led her to education, where she’s spent years leading teams, managing students, and organizing memorable school events. Along the way, she’s gained a strong understanding of educational policies, student needs, and built a solid network within the educational community.

Outside of teaching, Suzanne stays busy volunteering, serving on boards, attending parent council meetings, and being present for her grandchildren’s school and recreational events. She’s been part of the St. Albert community since 2013 and is proud to actively engage in many of the great things the city has to offer.

Looking ahead, Suzanne is excited to bring a fresh, innovative approach to addressing education’s challenges. She is committed to policies that prioritize student well-being and academic success, and she believes strongly in the power of collaboration—working alongside parents, staff and the community to create the best possible educational experience for every child.
