PowerSchool Cybersecurity Incident

On Tuesday, January 7, we were made aware of a North America-wide cybersecurity incident involving a PowerSchool support portal (PowerSource). Our school division was not targeted individually. We are among dozens of Alberta school divisions, and hundreds more across North America, impacted by the breach.

St. Albert Public Schools student and staff accounts have been affected. We have communicated directly with staff and families regarding this matter and will continue to share updates with them as information becomes available.

We understand that news like this can be unsettling, and we want to assure you that we are doing everything possible to address the situation responsibly and proactively.
